This five day celebration includes a film festival, dance parties, late-night drag shows, bike tours, water excursions, a street fair, Pride Pageants, and a 'Pride in Our Community' Parade down Duval Street.

4th Annual Mystery Writersfest

Join your favorite mystery writers, aspiring writers, and mystery fans in America’s southernmost city! From South Florida's favorite storytellers to writers of international renown, this is a meet-and-greet where authors can catch up with old friends and readers can chat with their favorite mystery  writers, collect signed books and participate in workshops, panels, and presentations where bestselling authors explain how and why they do it.

41st Annual Swim Around Key West

7:15am - 3:15pm

Presented by the Key West Athletic Association, the Annual Swim Around Key West is a 12.5-mile endurance swim clockwise around the entire island of Key West. This is the 41st year for this swimming event, started by founder Anna Fugina in 1977. The Annual Swim Around Key West is an independent and insured swim, permitted by the U.S. Coast Guard. It has three categories: solo swimmer, two-person relay team and three-person team.

Fireworks display off the Edward B. Knight Pier (formally known as White Street Pier).

Underwater Concert

10am - 2pm
Looe Key Reef , Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

The nationally-acclaimed submerged songfest is held at Looe Key Reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Music is staged by Keys radio station US1 Radio 104.1 FM.

July 13-15
Mel Fisher Days

Come commemorate the anniversary of Mel Fisher’s famous 16-year search for the Spanish galleon Atocha and the discovery of the Atocha Mother Load. Annual Dock Party at Schooner Wharf Bar on Saturday, July 15th, with tours of salvaging vessels, raffle, silent and live auctions and live entertainment. Private tours of the Fisher Family Conservation Laboratory: July 13 & 14. Contest: Enter to win an Atocha Coin July 13-15! 

July 18-23
Hemingway Days

The 37th annual celebration of the legendary author's work and lifestyle features literary readings, a theatrical premiere, short story competition, fishing tournament, 5K Run, The Running of the Bulls, Paddle board Race, and Sloppy Joe's Look-Alike Contest and birthday "party" commemorating Ernest's July 21st birthday.


August 6
Battle of The Bars

12:30 PM - 6:30 PM

The competition involves the skills of mixing a margarita, running through an obstacle course with the drink, recycling, tapping a keg of beer, pouring it, serving it and drinking it, plus more. The entry fee of $35.00 and all “bribes” will be donated to local clubs and charities. Opening Ceremonies are at 1:00 and registration is at 11 a.m. For more information or to sign up, stop by Schooner Wharf Bar or call 305-292-3302.

August 10-13
Lobster Fest

Street Fair & free concert held on Saturday, August 12 from Noon until 11:00pm.

August 31 - September 4
Key West BrewFest

More than 150 beers and micro-brews are on tap at this "tasty" annual event that benefits the charitable efforts of the Key West Sunrise Rotary Club of the Conch Republic. Events from beer dinners, beer brunches, happy hour parties, pool parties, late-night parties, seminars and the Signature Tasting Festival Event are some of the offered activities.
