Accessibility Services

Some of our Conch Tour Trains are equipped with wheelchair ramps. To manage these devices often takes two people to maneuver them into position and requires a considerable amount of space. It is for these reasons our ramps can only be deployed at our departure location. However, where possible we are happy to accommodate. Collapsible wheelchairs are always permitted on any of our Trains and all of our CASTmembers are willing and able to assist with the loading.

We are happy to provide this service and ask for your assistance to allow us to safely serve you with minimal impact on other guests utilizing our services. We request that you give us a minimum of 24 hour notice of your arrival date and the time you would like to take the tour. You may call our office at 305-294-5161 to provide this information. This will assure that a properly equipped vehicle may be made available.

Please arrive at our departure location no later than 15 minutes prior to your departure time so that we can accomplish the boarding process smoothly and safely.

Hearing Impaired Guests

Please make our CASTmembers aware if you require accommodations. We will gladly provide a tour script guide upon request.

At Historic Tours of America, we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service to all people, including individuals with disabilities. In order to provide the proper accommodations, all we ask is that we are given due notice in order to select the proper services. Our selection process involves the use of the ADA information line to vet and secure local interpreter services. As a Title III entity, our number one goal is to provide an effective accommodation that will ensure you have a memorable time with us.

Service Animals

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III regulations defines a service animal as any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disabilities, such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, alerting and protecting people prone to seizures, or other tasks directly related to a disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sorry, no pets allowed. We request 24-hour advance notice.

We look forward to having you on The World Famous Conch Tour Train.
